I ended the call with Juliette and I handed the phone back to the pharmacist with trembling fingers.

“Thank you.” I said softly.

"You’re welcome, dear." She smiled gently. "Are your friends coming?”

“Yes.” I nodded. “They’re on their way. I hope I can wait here for a while.”

“Of course.” She said immediately, her voice warm and kind. “You can stay as long as you need. You’ve been through something, haven’t you?”
