I wrapped my arms around Dario’s waist from behind.

He hadn’t noticed I was awake.

He stood by the window, bare-chested, staring outside.

I found myself wondering, not for the first time, how he maintained such an athletic build.

He removed my hands gently and turned.

I looked up at him, and he greeted me with a kiss, then lifted me up.
