EMILY'S POV

Before I slept the night before, I had prayed that morning should come slowly but it didn’t.

It came too quickly and we were up around 5am, preparing to leave.

I looked around the villa one more time, taking in the peace, and warmth the place brought to me.

My heart ached. We saying goodbye to all of this felt like closing a good chapter too soon.
