The next morning I woke up before Dario.

His arm was across my waist, and face buried in my hair. Breathing slow and even.

I lay there staring at the ceiling. My body was still sore from last night.

Every move reminded me of how rough he got, how desperate and how he never answered my question.

Black Chamber stayed stuck in my head like a bad song I couldn’t shake.
