Emily’s POV

I stood at the top of the stairs for a long time after Sophia hung up from her call.

Sophia came upstairs and stopped in front of me, trying to see through me.

“Em, this whole thing with Dario,” she said. “What do we do?”

I squeezed her fingers. “I don’t know yet honestly, let’s wait, think and restrategise.”

She nodded then hugged me tight.

I hugged her back and held on.
