The hall was still humming with music when the messenger crashed through the double doors.

Leo stirred in my arms at the sudden blast of cold air. Conversations died. Laughter strangled itself mid-echo. Every Alpha, every Elder, every warrior turned—instinct sharpening like drawn blades.
