The only thing constant was the pain in my stomach. Everything else was a blur.

I remembered Matthew coming in and finding Brett on top of me; I remembered them fighting as he defended me; I remembered him coming back in to find me after kicking Brett out. But that was pretty much it.

"Matthew, help me, please," I sobbed. "It hurts."
