The great Montana Blizzard ultimately buried Snowy Glen in four-and-a-half feet of white. When Lucas opened the door and I looked out to see our guide ropes all but invisible, I couldn’t believe it.

The snow was so deep it would have been up to my chest, if I had been foolish enough to try and forge my way through it.
