As expected, King Varric didn’t believe me.

Instead, they stole my wife from me. Tossed me into a prison cell. I could hear my mother berating my father in the distance. My brothers arguing. Even with my dark vision, I couldn’t see them.

I could only wonder where Magnus was. King Varric was out for blood, and Magnus would likely be the first one to meet the axe. Less collateral to execute a riddari than a prince. At least at first. ...
