By the time Mark walked in from work, presumably, I was utterly, totally miserable.

And I hated it.

I hated how I was feeling. I hated how Joey had left abruptly, and how guilty his reaction made me feel. I shouldn't be feeling this way. I mean, I wasn't expecting him to react the way he did, but the fact that he just... stood up and left made me feel as if I was the one to be blamed for what happened.

Which was bullshit, because I was a victim too. I didn't ask to be separated ...
