The next morning, I stepped out of the bathroom, still drying my hair with a towel, Tyler was on the phone.

“Okay, alright,” he said before sighing and ending the call.

He glanced at me. “We were invited to the company’s annual charity gala. They’re expecting both of us.”

“Oh,” I mumbled, unsure what to say.
