Emily's POV

As I looked into Tyler’s eyes, my chest felt tight. I wondered what he was going to say next. I knew this wasn’t easy for him. Tyler and Davis had been close friends for years. Asking him to let Davis leave the house, even temporarily, wasn’t a small thing.

But Skylar’s health mattered more than anyone’s comfort.

I swallowed and forced myself to speak.

“Please,” I said quietly. “Just let him not stay here for a while. Sort it out, okay?”
