Lucas sent me a text asking if I wanted to come over after work. I knew it had something to do with the incident that happened during lunch with Maria. I sighed and replied back with a yes, although I was hardly in the mood to talk more about my manipulative ex-boyfriend.

I was back in my classroom now and Ethan had left me with Shane, my new bodyguard. Maria went back to class and I was stuck entertaining Shane.
