Sorahiko wakes up slowly, almost like he’s afraid to open his eyes. Riko watches his eyelids twitch— she doesn’t touch him, or try to wake him up. 

She waits for him to wake up on his own, and when his lashes flutter open, she smiles. 

“Hi, Sorahiko; it’s good to see you awake”. 

He blinks at her dazedly for a moment. Then he sits up sharply, pulling at the IV in his wrist in a haze of panic.
