I only learned later that the sanctuary was hidden in a quiet forest, nearly an entire district away from the Lycan pack's territory. It was close enough to their land to keep everyone aware of its presence, yet far enough away to remain neutral ground.

That placement hadn't happened by chance. It had been carefully chosen to protect the sanctuary's sanctity while discouraging anyone who didn't belong.
