“A drastic plan? Tell me about it?” Selene knew Artemis to be pretty dark and cunning. She was the most quiet among the gods but she was good with hunt and very cunning. She was also a master at making deadly plans. She and Artemis usually got along since she was the moon goddess and Artemis was also associated with the moon.

“How about we turn him into a bunny?” She asked and Selene frowned.

“Come on, Artemis! This isn't a time to joke around. I really need to draw his attention.” She complained.

Artemis chuckled and thought for a while. “What if we ask Poseidon to drown him in the sea?” Artemis asked.

“If he dies in the sea, my power dies with him. That's not going to help at all.” Selene frowned.

“Okay. How about we ask Aphrodite to make him fall in love with you? That way, you would get back your powers and we wouldn't have anything to worry about.” She suggested.

“You can't force nature, Artemis. He has to fall in love with me of his own accord. If I make Aphrodite use her powers on him, I would be getting my powers back using deceitful means and it might backfire. It'll definitely backfire.” Selene sighed.

“You're right on that one. But you do know, ruthless Alphas like him have tastes, right?” Artemis asked.

“What do you mean?” Selene asked.

“According to the contract he gave you, he's allowed to touch you but you aren't allowed to touch him. I have this feeling that he might be on to something. He also mentioned right here that you are not his type and trust me when I say, you are really not his type.” Artemis blurted out.

Selene frowned. “You're not helping matters at all.” She whined and Artemis chuckled.

“I mean, your human self isn't his type. I'm sure if he sees you as the moon goddess, he'll be ashamed and consider himself as someone who isn't in your league. I mean look at you, Selene, even my twin brother Apollo wanted to try his shots with you.”

“And he failed woefully.” Selene sneered and they laughed.

“Exactly. Before I make my conclusion, transform to whatever the gods turned you into, let me see.” She ordered.

“Just so you know, you were part of the gods that turned me into this,” She mocked and transformed to her human form.

When she did, Artemis burst out laughing. “Don't tell me this is what you wore to school today.” She glared at Selene's clothes.

“I don't understand. Aren't these the clothes I met in the apartment you all created for me?” She asked.

Artemis eyes widened. “For real?”

Selene nodded.

She stood up and appeared in front of Selene. “Let's go to that apartment of yours,” With that said, she held Selene's hand and they appeared in front of her wardrobe. Artemis skimmed through her stuff and shook her head. “It's no doubt that Hera is responsible for these clothes. How is Dominic going to fall for you when you're dressed like a nun?” She snapped.

Selene chuckled. “They're pretty stylish.” She defended.

“Pretty, my foot! Take a look at these,” She facepalmed and closed her eyes. With a snap of her fingers, Selene's wardrobe changed instantly and new clothes appeared.

“These are better and more fashionable. Wear this and act classy. I'm sure he's going to fall for you in no time. Stop acting like a kid and act like an adult and the goddess you are!” She snapped. “I don't know why the gods made you like this.” She frowned.

“Artemis, you were included.” Selene facepalmed.

“I know but in case you aren't aware, I'm the reason why you look cute. Left for Hera, I'm sure she would have turned you into something else, and trust me, you do not want to see that.” She frowned.

Selene chuckled. “Fine, I've heard you. I'll try my best to look classy and act like the goddess I am.” Selene recited.

“Wait, how about that mate stuff?” Artemis asked and Selene sighed.

“He isn't ready to accept me as his mate either. I'm not praying for him to accept me, though. I hate his guts!” She snapped, remembering the terms he had put in the contract.

“I think you'd have to use this mate stuff to your advantage.” Artemis suggested.

“What do you have in mind?” She asked.

“Zeus said it might be that way because your powers are in him, and maybe your powers are calling out to you by getting both of you mated to each other. Why don't you go more closer to him and try skin contact? That spark always ignites a special feeling in someone. Aphrodite told me the only way to get them is through slow and steady seduction.” She explained.

Selene sighed. “I'm not good at all these lovey dovey stuff. Aphrodite is the goddess of love and it's easier for her to say. I hope I don't screw this up.”

“You aren't talking like the moon goddess I know, Selene. I believe in you and in what you can do, so get to work already. The fate of the wolves is in your hands.” She patted her shoulder and disappeared.

Selene sighed and looked at her newly changed wardrobe. She just hoped everything would go smoothly.

THAT NIGHT…

She transformed to her goddess form and sat cross legged on the ground. It'd been long she listened to all that was happening around the Werewolf world. As she was meditating, Marlene appeared to assist her.

“I got the signal. What pack are you looking into today?” Marlene asked.

“Amber Luna,” She answered and Marlene nodded. There was a ceremony going on in the said Pack. It was a mating ceremony.

“Do you think I can still join people together as mates now that he has grown?” Selene asked.

Marlene sighed. “I don't think that's possible. You know half of your powers went to him and if by chance they're to get a mate tonight, he'll be the one to do the choosing.”

“I'll try anyway,” She muttered to herself and saw how the girls were dressed beautifully. There was a particular one, who looked more nervous than the rest. She looked closer into that particular girl and discovered that she was being mistreated by her stepmother and had escaped from the house to attend the mating ceremony since that day was her birthday.

“Please, moon goddess, I know I am not perfect. People call me a worthless Omega and slave and I get bullied by my stepsister and her friends. My stepmother would kill me if she finds out I snuck out to attend the mating ceremony, but I'm tired of everything that's happening. Today is my birthday and the least birthday gift you can give me is a mate that would love me and take me away from here. Please, moon goddess, help me.”

The girl's prayers rung in her ears and she sighed. Her gaze went over the crowds of people gathered in the pack and when it was the girl's turn to climb the stage, the moon directed her to the seat of the Alpha.

“Wow, she is going to get mated to the Alpha.” Marlene exclaimed.

Selene smiled. “Indeed but I don't think he would accept her at first because he sees her as cursed as well.”

“What should we do then? Are you going to change her mate?” Marlene asked.

“That's not possible. She will get mated to him, he will send her away and she'll end up in another pack where she would find true love. The Alpha of that second pack will be her destined mate.” She revealed.

“What about this one?” Marlene asked.

“He will realize his mistakes and come after her but it would be too late.” She replied.

Marlene sighed and nodded. “It would be his fault for rejecting her in the first place.” She stated and Selene nodded.

When the time came, Selene tried to pair the two of them together but it didn't work. “What's going on?” She asked.

Marlene already knew what was going on. “He is supposed to pair them.” She explained, referring to Dominic.

THAT SAME NIGHT…

Dominic was asleep when he found himself at a pack. It was like a mating ceremony was going on. He looked around and could see the moon resting on so many people's heads.

He glanced at the stage and saw a girl standing with her face buried in her palms. She was weeping profusely. Her prayers echoed in his head and he wondered why the moon goddess wasn't helping the girl get her mate.

He felt the girl had suffered enough in the hands of her stepmother and stepsister and should be given a chance at happiness.

As he saw the girl crying, he felt bad for her and resentful to the moon goddess for not helping her.

“If I were the moon goddess, I would mate her to the Alpha of the pack. That way, her sufferings would come to an end and her bullies would be ashamed.” He muttered to himself and turned to leave when he heard screams.

He turned to where it came from and saw the girl, standing before the Alpha. He heard people murmuring and saying the Omega had been mated to the Alpha.

He awoke with a start and sighed.

He couldn't comprehend why he was having these dreams. This wasn't the first time neither was it the second time or third time he dreamt of something like this. Right from when he was a kid, he knew he was different from the rest.

He kept seeing and feeling strange and unfathomable things and at that time, it was pretty difficult for him to handle his emotions when they came. He thought they had stopped but they were still there. He would zone out in class sometimes and the students would always laugh and make jest of him. That was why he hated people.

Another reason he hated people was when he had a similar dream of his high school crush getting mated to one of the guys that used to bully him in school and when he got to school the next morning, he met them holding hands. It broke his heart and he refused to love because he felt he would dream about them getting mated.

Dominic got down from the bed and went to get a bottle of water from the refrigerator. His mind drifted to Selene as he drank. He sighed, dropped the water and went into his drawer to peek at the contract.

He didn't like the way he felt around her and that was why he was always mean to her because he wanted her to hate him. If he hated her, and she hated him, when he eventually dreams and she gets mated to someone else, he wouldn't feel too bad.

“But she is our mate.” Eric, his wolf spoke out.

“She isn't!” He snapped. “There is no evidence.”

“What about the attraction and spark?” Eric asked.

“Those are just my imaginations. I might be seeing things and feeling them at the same time.” He argued.

“You and I know what you feel Dominic. We know she is our mate. I have accepted that but you are still deceiving yourself.” Eric scolded and cut off the mindlink, leaving Dominic in deep thought.

He sighed and sat down.

BACK AT SELENE'S PLACE…

“He fixed it. He mated them!” Marlene exclaimed cheerfully.

Selene sighed and stood up. “You can leave now, Marlene. Your work here is done.” She ordered.

“Oh, yes, moon goddess.” She bowed and disappeared.

Selene walked into the bathroom and glanced at herself in the mirror. She transformed back to human and ruffled her hair.

“Where did I go wrong?” She asked herself.

She knew she gave him half of her powers but she couldn't help that feeling of insecurity. She felt her powers weren't safe in his hands and she was also scared that the people might notice her absence soon. She didn't want that to happen.

Her secret might be exposed.
