Kaiser just couldn’t show up at a worse time.

The words hung in the air longer than they should have. Elora must be wondering where we disappeared to.

I felt like shrinking. Ivan had no idea Kaiser was working with me, and this was the situation I wanted to avoid the most. The chilly air made me shrink further.
