Betty's POV

Nonna Rosa and Nonno Rafael left on Boxing Day after breakfast. I accompanied mum to see them off. It was a cold winter morning. It wasn’t snowing but considering how it snowed throughout yesterday, everything was covered in piles of snow that had to be cleared out.

Nonna Rosa pulled me into a hug. "Be careful dear. Your life is important," she whispered in my ear before she broke the hug.
