I held my breath the entire time. I wasn't expecting to run into Kyle here. "Doctor Scotfield will be in her office soon." The nurse's voice drew me out of my thoughts.

"Huh," I blurted, stunned by her voice. She cleared her throat then repeated

"I said the doctor will be in her office soon. You can head there now." She explained, her gaze glancing towards the desktop screen.
