My eyes narrowed on the caller ID. I noticed the way Bertha's body went rigid immediately. The way she couldn't pry her eyes out from the screen.

I felt like scoffing..does she still have lingering feelings for him? That was laughable.

Of course she did. There was always this look of pain in her eyes whenever she set her eyes on him. She literally ran from the engagement party with his look-alike, and up till now, she refused to admit she was with her lover. My grip ...
