"A truce..." he arched his brow not buying it. It was completely out of character for me to show him any sign of gentleness.

"Yes..." I said calmly, "I am sorry for leaving last night without a word. I shouldn't have done that, it was insensitive of me." I said sounding as genuine as I could

Although his edges had softened a bit he was still hung up about last night. He chuckled, it was short and pretty sharp, it gives me chills.
