Diana's POV

I was still scrubbing the floor quietly when the knock came again, louder this time. Before I could decide what to do, the door opened and someone walked in.

My heart jumped into my throat when I saw who it was. Beta Damien.

I froze with the mop in my hands, staring at him. Did he know that I had seen him last night? Did he realize that I recognized the warrior from my father's pack that he was speaking with in secret? Was he here to make sure I kept quiet about it?
