Honestly, I had no idea what possessed me to stay in Kieran's chambers after hearing that absolutely horrifying confession about how the beast had killed his pregnant mate.

But I couldn't make myself leave because something inside my chest was pulling me toward Kieran . The pull wanted me to comfort him and ease his pain, and for once I decided to stop fighting against what my heart was demanding.
