Kieran's POV

I woke up staring directly at the sky. The stars were fading as dawn approached, and I could see the first hints of orange painting the horizon.

Where was I?

I tried to sit up and felt pain shoot through my entire body. Every muscle ached like I had been running for days without rest. My clothes were torn to shreds, barely hanging onto my body. My shirt was completely destroyed, just strips of fabric clinging to my shoulders.
