Emma POV

The moment the car rolled through the large iron gates, my chest tightened.

Home.

I stared through the window, hardly blinking. The mansion stood tall and quiet like it had been waiting. The wide garden. The long driveway. The soft yellow lights glowing from the windows.

For weeks I thought I might never see it again.

My fingers tightened slightly on the edge of the seat.
