Emma POV

The car stopped in front of the mansion. The gates opened and swallowed us whole.

Ethan got out first. He said nothing. The rain soaked through my dress. His silence hurt more than the cold.

The passenger door opened.

"Out," he said quietly.

No shouting. No rage. Only control.

I stepped out. My heels hit the gravel. He took my wrist, firm but not rough, and led me inside.

The house was bright and quiet. Every step echoed.
