Between two alphas

Alpha Donovan’s lips curved into something that wasn’t quite a smile. “I came to get what belongs to me.”

A ripple of confusion moved through the pack. I frowned, glancing around.

“What belongs to you?” Dante asked, his voice steady but his jaw tight.

Donovan’s gaze swept over the crowd. Slowly. Carefully. Like a wolf scanning prey. And then… he stopped.

On me.

I felt the world tilt.

I wanted to move, to hide, to vanish. But I couldn’t. My legs wouldn’t obey.

“violet,” he said quietly, his voice low enough for only a few to hear.

“My mate, he whispered.

I stared at him, my lips parting but no words coming out.

He tilted his head slightly, studying me like I was some precious treasure. “Your hair,” he said, more to himself than anyone.

My hand went up to my hair before I could stop it. The purple streaks glinted faintly in the fading light.

The whispers around us grew louder.

Dante's voice cut through like a blade. You can't take her.”

Donovan turned his head, a smirk curling at the corner of his mouth. “You don’t get to decide that, Alpha.

The Moon chooses. And she chosed her for me.”

Alpha Donovan stepped forward, his aura slamming into the air like thunder. Even the wind seemed to pause.

“You’re wrong.”

For a second, neither spoke. Just the steady rhythm of my racing heart.

Alpha Dante’s voice came again, quieter now but laced with something sharp. “She’s my mate.”

The words hit harder than I expected. My knees almost gave out.

Alpha Donovan’s eyes flashed dangerously. “Yours?” he repeated, disbelief and fury mixing in his tone.

Dante didn’t back down.

For a moment, I thought Donovan would strike him. His whole body went tense, his wolf rising just beneath the surface.

I could feel it the raw power, the heavy dominance pushing against my skin.

“I don’t know what trick you’re playing,” Donovan said, his voice low. “But she’s mine.

The mood goodess won't give her a second chance if you didn't reject her.

It was true if one didn't reject their mate, then there can't be a second chance.

My chest burned. I didn’t even know what to feel. Fear? Confusion? Shock?

Whispers erupt amongst, since Alpha Dante warned me never to tell anyone about our bond I never did.

And now he was claiming me,not because he realized his mistake but because, Alpha Donovan had claimed me as his mate or maybe he wasn't tired of seeing me suffer, humiliated and treated as a slave.

I looked between them two powerful Alphas, both claiming me like I was some kind of prize.

Donovan’s eyes flicked back to me. Softer this time.

The air between us hummed with energy strange, heavy, familiar. But before I could even think, Dante's arm came around my shoulders, pulling me slightly behind him.

“you can't take her,” Dante said. “ I won’t let you take her from the pack she belonged.

Donovan’s smile turned cold.

“You think so?”

Alpha Donovan’s gaze softened for just a second when he looked at me. “You don’t have to be afraid.

He took another step forward, his aura pressing against us. My lungs ached under the weight.

Then, he exhaled slowly, his gaze flicking to me once more.

When his cold silver eyes found me, my breath hitched. There was something in that gaze familiar yet foreign like I had known him in another life.

He took a slow step closer, his voice dropping low enough that only I could hear.

“Look at me,” he said, gently using his index finger to raise my chin

The air crackled between us, thick and alive,Make your choice, but I won't force you.

My lips parted, but no sound came out.

Alpha Donovan’s hand reached out slowly, hovering just inches from my face. “You have a choice,” he said softly. “Come with me… or stay here and live a lie.”

His gaze flicked briefly to Dante, cold and knowing.

Alpha Donovan was right, it was the only opportunity I've got to leave the place that have always hunted me for years the people who hunted me, for the first time I was given a chance to make a choice and I have to do it wisely.

But do I trust the man with silver eyes enough?

They're the same after all, they're brothers, blood what assurance do I have he won't treat me even worst than his younger brother Alpha Dante.
