Chapter 84

Alpha KwanPOV.

I deliberately ignored her complaints and objections, walking purposefully out of the room and leaving her alone with her daunting assignment.

This was essentially a test designed to determine whether she truly wanted to fight for what she believed in or if she would simply surrender when faced with real challenges. I was absolutely certain it would be nearly impossible for anyone to finish reading such a lengthy book in just four hours, so I was already planning to return later and give her both punishment and an important lesson about perseverance. Loving children was wonderful and admirable, but loving herself and respecting her mate was absolutely essential for a successful partnership.

"She needs to learn that being strong doesn't mean being stubborn," I told myself as I walked through the castle halls. "A real Luna knows when to listen and when to speak."

Having a strong, independent personality didn't mean acting hard-headed and argumentative, yelling back disrespectfully whenever challenged. She needed to learn to listen carefully, think critically about what was being said, and then respond with appropriate respect and consideration. That's exactly how a true Alpha and Luna should conduct themselves in all situations.

I genuinely wanted everyone in our pack and beyond to respect her as a leader in her own right. My goal was to help transform her into a confident, commanding Luna who led from the front, not a timid follower who simply agreed with everything. I was determined to help her discover and embrace the powerful Alpha Female that I knew existed somewhere deep inside her soul! Because she truly was an Alpha by birth and by nature.

When I returned to the library exactly four hours later, she immediately began complaining the moment she heard my approaching footsteps in the hallway. "I didn't manage to finish it all yet! I tried my best, but there's still so much left to read!"

I calmly locked the door behind me and walked over to settle comfortably on the plush leather couch. I patted my lap invitingly and said in an authoritative tone, "Then it's time for you to receive the punishment we discussed."

She frowned deeply and asked with growing concern, "What kind of punishment? Why do I have to be punished? How is this fair when the task was impossible?"

I beckoned her over with one finger and commanded, "Come here right now and lie across my lap on your stomach."

Once she was positioned exactly as I wanted her, I slowly lifted the bottom of her dress up to expose her perfect ass. I delivered a sharp, stinging slap to her soft ass-cheeks while saying sternly, "You absolutely must learn to obey your mate without question! That's the very first lesson every Luna needs to master!"

For ten firm, decisive slaps, her beautiful ass cheeks gradually turned a bright, rosy red color. She gasped and whimpered with each impact, but I could tell she was learning the lesson I intended to teach.

When I paused, she probably thought I had finished with her punishment completely. But I wasn't done yet. I carefully moved her delicate thong to the side with my index finger, and then I slowly pushed one finger deep into her tight ass, making her startle and gasp in surprise. Then I deliberately worked two fingers even deeper inside her, causing her to squirm and writhe helplessly under my firm control. I continued this intimate punishment while saying in a stern, commanding voice, "And this is teaching you that you should never, ever yell at your mate disrespectfully! You derive your strength and authority from me, and I get my respect and obedience from you. Do you understand that now?"

She nodded silently, unable to speak through her overwhelming sensations.

I commanded her firmly, "I need to hear your voice clearly. Answer me properly."

She managed to say in a low, breathless voice, "Yes, I understand completely. But it's so intense and painful at the same time." She made that adorable puppy face that always melted my heart.

I leaned down and kissed her tender, reddened ass gently, then rubbed it soothingly with my palm. "I'm sorry for causing you pain, sweetheart. But I needed to make sure this lesson stays firmly in your memory."

I carefully helped her sit normally beside me on the couch and pulled her into a soft, passionate, lingering kiss on her sweet lips. Then I smiled warmly at her, and she blushed prettily in response. "Can we make love now? I mean, are you ready for some real intimacy?"

She bit her lower lip seductively and nodded with growing excitement, "Yes, we definitely can. I want you, Alpha."

I raised one eyebrow with interest and asked teasingly, "So you're not going to call me daddy anymore during intimate moments?"

She smirked mischievously and suddenly pushed me back against the couch cushions, then climbed on top to straddle me confidently while saying with determination, "Never again. You're my Alpha, and that's how I want to address you."

I found myself loving this new development! She was proving to be delightfully stubborn, playfully naughty, and surprisingly dominant when she wanted to be.

Days passed smoothly like a river. We fell into a nice rhythm of studying together at night, followed by passionate lovemaking that left us both happy. My life with Isabella had become something amazing-a perfect mix of friendship, passion, and respect that made me feel blessed to have her.

"You're everything I never knew I needed," I'd whisper in her hair as we lay together afterward. "I can't imagine my life without you now."

She would smile in that way that made my heart skip. I knew I was the luckiest Alpha alive.

I began involving her in all Pack matters. Her insight was valuable as she quickly learned the complex politics of our world.

"What do you think about the border dispute with the Northern Pack?" I'd ask.

She'd think carefully before offering solutions that were always wise and smart.

"You have a natural talent for this," I told her once, and she blushed with pride.

My friendship with Nathan stayed strong, though we agreed to meet away from my castle grounds.

"Let's grab a drink at the old tavern by the lake," he'd suggest, or "I found a new hiking trail where we can talk privately." I always agreed.

This was Nathan's request-he had approached me one evening looking serious.

"Kwan, I need to ask a favor," he'd said quietly. "I think it's better if we meet away from your home... it would make things less complicated for everyone."

Though part of me wanted to insist my castle should be open to my closest friend, I respected his decision.

"Whatever you need, brother," I'd said, squeezing his shoulder. "Your friendship means too much to risk hurting you."

The gratitude in his eyes told me I'd made the right choice, even as I wondered about the pain he still carried inside.

Nathan's personal life stayed the same despite the years passing-he continued living alone, not looking for love or considering potential candidates for a new luna.

"Aren't you lonely in that big house?" I once asked during a hunting trip.

He just shrugged, looking at the distant trees. "I have the Pack, and that's enough for me right now," he replied in a tone that stopped further questions. "Besides, not everyone needs a partner to feel complete."

He devoted himself completely to his Pack duties with total dedication. He worked from dawn until late at night.

"You'll work yourself to death," I warned him once, but he just smiled that half-smile of his and changed the subject.

Sometimes I caught glimpses of deep sadness in his eyes when he thought no one was looking, but he never talked about it, and I learned not to push.

Mila became a regular visitor in our lives, coming to our castle almost daily with her happy laugh and warm presence.

"I've brought those pastries Isabella loves," she'd announce, walking into our home like family.

Isabella loved these visits, her face lighting up whenever Mila appeared.

"You're like the sister I never had," Isabella told her once, and the two women hugged, forming a bond that grew stronger each day.

They would spend hours talking, sometimes laughing until tears ran down their faces, other times discussing serious topics about Pack politics or family matters.

"She understands me in ways no one else does," Isabella told me one night. "Having her friendship makes me feel like I truly belong here."

Everything went wonderfully for weeks-our Pack was doing well, our home was filled with laughter, and our bond grew stronger each day-until that day came, changing everything.

The morning started bright and clear, seeming normal in every way, but it was the dreaded day when Juan was scheduled to leave the castle to attend school for the first time.

Isabella, who had grown very attached to my son, reacted strongly to this change.

"He can't go!" she cried, her voice rising with emotion. She paced across our bedroom, waving her hands.

"For heaven's sake, Kwan, he is the Alpha's son! What are you thinking sending him out there unprotected?"

Her eyes flashed with real fear and anger as she faced me.

"You should bring teachers here to the castle where he'll be safe! Any other Alpha would do the same-why are you being so stubborn about this?"

She made a good point that I couldn't just ignore-as Alpha, I certainly had the power and resources to arrange private education within our walls.

Many Pack leaders chose exactly that path for their children, keeping them safe within Pack territory.

"The teachers could come three times a week," she pushed, seeing my hesitation. "He would get an even better education than at that school, with personal attention and lessons made just for his needs and future responsibilities."

But my vision for Juan's upbringing was different from the traditional approach.

I believed strongly that my son needed to experience the world beyond our castle walls, to make his own connections and face challenges that would shape him into a worthy leader.

"Isabella, listen to me," I explained, trying to keep my voice gentle but firm. "No one's going to kidnap him-the school is well-protected, and he'll have guards nearby all the time."

I took her hands in mine, feeling them shake slightly.

"But I'm worried about how attached you've become to Juan-it concerns me how dependent you both are on each other."

I shared my growing worry about their intense bond, which sometimes seemed to leave little room for anyone else.

"He needs to learn independence and strength, qualities he'll need for his future role. He can't develop those if we keep him isolated here."

The situation had become overwhelming in recent months, with Isabella planning her entire day around Juan's schedule and needs.

Even Juan himself had started showing signs of unhealthy attachment, crying terribly that morning before leaving.

"Please, Mom, don't make me go alone," he had sobbed, holding onto Isabella's dress desperately. "Can't you come with me? Just for today?"

His pleading eyes had moved between us, looking for any way to keep Isabella by his side.

I finally had to separate them by using my authority as both father and Alpha, ordering my guards to take Juan to school despite his protests.

"Take him now," I instructed firmly, watching as my son was led reluctantly toward the waiting car, his small shoulders slumped in defeat.

"This is for his own good," I told Isabella, who watched with tears running down her face. "He'll thank us someday when he's strong enough to lead."

The tension between us hung heavily all day, creating an uncomfortable silence throughout our usually happy home.
