Alpha Nathan Pov.
I already knew that Isabella was absolutely breathtaking in every possible way imaginable. From the very first moment I laid eyes on her, I had been completely and utterly head over heels, drowning helplessly in the depths of my love for her.
It was like nothing I had ever experienced before--this overwhelming, all-consuming feeling that made everything else in my world fade into insignificance whenever she was near me.
The way her eyes lit up when she smiled, the gentle curve of her lips when she was deep in thought, the adorable way she tucked her hair behind her ear when she was nervous--every single detail about her captivated me entirely.
"She's perfection personified," I thought to myself as I watched her twirl in that stunning white dress. But as I continued to admire her radiant beauty, as much as she was already glowing like the brightest star in my universe, I couldn't help but notice that there was something missing--one final touch that would complete this magical picture standing before me.
"What is it?" I wondered silently, my eyes scanning her from head to toe until the realization suddenly hit me.
Jewelry--that's what she needed! A spectacular diamond necklace adorning her elegant neck would be the perfect finishing touch to complete this breathtaking vision.
It would be the missing piece that would transform her from merely beautiful to absolutely ethereal, showing the world the real Cinderella after she had found her prince, not before.
I imagined how the diamonds would catch the light and reflect in her unique, mesmerizing eyes, creating a sparkle that would match the one already shining from within her. "Yes," I decided firmly, "that's exactly what she needs."
I pictured how the necklace would rest against her collarbone, drawing attention to the graceful curve of her neck and shoulders. It would be my way of marking her as mine in the most elegant, sophisticated manner possible--a visible symbol of my devotion that everyone at the party would notice immediately.
I couldn't help the smile that spread across my face as I reached out and gently pulled her closer to me, my hands resting lightly on her waist as I gazed down at her with undisguised adoration.
"You look absolutely stunning, Isabella," I whispered sincerely, my voice slightly husky with emotion. "I honestly can't take my eyes away from you for even a second. It's like you've stepped straight out of a fairy tale and into my life."
I brushed a stray strand of hair from her face, marveling at how soft her skin felt beneath my fingertips. "You have no idea what you do to me, do you?" I added, shaking my head slightly in wonder. "Every time I look at you, it's like seeing you for the very first time all over again."
She blushed adorably at my compliments, shyly swinging her waist a bit in a gesture that was both innocent and incredibly alluring at the same time.
"Oh stop it, Nathan," she protested softly, her eyes downcast in that modest way that always made my heart skip a beat. "It's not really me that looks good--it's just this expensive white dress doing all the work.
I mean, anything would look amazing when it costs this much, right? But thank you for your perfect choice. You really do have excellent taste."
She smoothed her hands down the fabric, as if still not quite believing she was actually wearing something so beautiful. "I've never owned anything like this before," she added quietly, almost to herself.
She was praising my choice of dress, but damn it all to hell, she couldn't possibly understand how utterly magnificent she looked!
She wasn't just beautiful--she was absolutely breathtaking, like a perfect model who had just been crowned Miss Universe!
The dress merely enhanced what was already there; it didn't create the magic--she did. Every movement she made was graceful and elegant, every smile that touched her lips was enough to light up the entire room, and every time she looked at me with those incredible eyes of hers, I felt like I was the luckiest man alive.
"If only she could see herself through my eyes for just one minute," I thought desperately, "then maybe she'd understand just how extraordinary she truly is."
I wanted to tell her all this, to make her understand that no dress in the world could create the kind of beauty she possessed naturally, but I wasn't sure she would believe me.
I coughed lightly to clear my throat and gestured toward myself with a playful, questioning expression, trying to lighten the mood a bit.
"So, what do you think? How do I look? Handsome enough to be seen with you tonight?" I struck a ridiculous pose, turning from side to side as if I were on a runway.
"Will I pass inspection, or should I go find something else to wear? Be honest now--I can take criticism if necessary." I was only half-joking; I genuinely wanted to look my absolute best for her tonight.
This would be our first official appearance together at a pack function, even if she would be partially hidden, and I wanted everything to be perfect.
She giggled lightly at my antics, the sound like music to my ears, and placed her delicate hand on my chest, smoothing out an imaginary wrinkle in my suit jacket.
"Sort of passable, I suppose," she teased, her eyes twinkling with mischief. "I mean, I guess you'll do in a pinch. Come on now, Nathan, you know perfectly well that you look absolutely amazing in that suit. You don't need me to tell you that."
Her hand lingered on my chest, and I wondered if she could feel how fast my heart was beating beneath her touch. "Every woman at that party is going to be completely jealous of whoever's on your arm tonight," she added with a small smile. "You're like something straight out of a magazine, you know that?"
I couldn't resist the temptation any longer--I snapped forward suddenly and leaned close to her ear, playfully stealing a quick lick along the sensitive skin just below her earlobe, enjoying the way she startled slightly at the unexpected contact.
"Did I surprise you?" I whispered against her skin, feeling her shiver in response. I breathed warmly against her neck for a moment, inhaling her intoxicating scent that drove me absolutely wild, before pulling back just enough to look into her eyes.
"You know, as perfect as you look right now, I think you're still missing something essential," I murmured thoughtfully, my gaze traveling slowly from her face down to her neck. "There's just one final touch that would make this whole ensemble absolutely perfect."
She pulled away slightly and glanced down at herself with a critical eye, examining her appearance for whatever flaw or missing element I might have noticed.
After a moment of consideration, her face brightened with realization. "Oh yes, you're absolutely right! I guess I need a proper pair of shoes to go with this amazing dress, don't I? These old things I'm wearing definitely won't match."
She lifted the hem of her dress slightly to reveal her everyday shoes that clearly weren't designed for such an elegant outfit. "I was so distracted by how beautiful the dress is that I completely forgot about appropriate footwear. Silly me!"
I shook my head with a smile and gently took her hand in mine, intertwining our fingers together in that way that always felt so natural, so right.
"Nope, that's not what I was thinking about at all, although you definitely do need proper shoes too," I admitted, giving her hand a gentle squeeze.
"But I have something else in mind--something that will truly complete this look and make you shine even brighter than you already do. Come with me, I want to show you something special."
I began leading her toward the door, already picturing exactly what I wanted to get for her and how beautiful it would look against her skin.
I turned to the sales associate who had been helping us with the dress selection and made a quick gesture with my free hand. "We're definitely taking this dress," I informed him decisively.
"Could you please find a perfect pair of heels to match while we step out for a moment? Something elegant but comfortable--she needs to be able to dance in them all night long."
I glanced at Isabella with a warm smile before adding, "I need to buy something else for her, but we'll be back in just a few minutes to pick everything up."
I didn't want to reveal my surprise just yet; I wanted to see her genuine reaction when she realized what I was planning to give her.
The sales associate bowed his head respectfully, not because I was the Alpha of one of the most powerful werewolf packs in the region--he had no idea about that part of my identity--but because I was a regular client at this high-end boutique.
They knew me well as a successful businessman who frequently purchased expensive gifts for various associates and partners. "Of course, Mr. Mitchell," he replied with a professional smile.
"I know exactly the style that would complement this dress perfectly. Everything will be ready when you return." Yes, here in town, far away from pack territory, they knew me only as Nathan Mitchell, the wealthy businessman from an old money family who had expanded his inheritance into an even greater fortune.
To them, I was nothing more than an important customer with excellent taste and a generous budget for luxury items. The wolf beneath my human skin remained perfectly hidden here among the unsuspecting humans.
I walked hand-in-hand with Isabella toward the shopping center's main concourse, chuckling softly as I noticed her awkward, limping gait.
She had left her shoes back in the dress shop and was trying to walk gracefully on the cool marble floor in just her socks. "Are you having some trouble there, princess?" I teased, watching her hop slightly from one foot to the other.
"You look like a little kid trying to avoid stepping on hot lava." Without waiting for her response, I bent down and swiftly scooped her up with one arm, cradling her against my chest like a precious child.
"There, that's much better, isn't it? Now you don't have to worry about your little feet getting cold." I winked at her, enjoying the blush that immediately colored her cheeks.
We quickly reached the high-end jewelry store that I had in mind--Diamonds International, one of the most exclusive establishments in the entire shopping center.
With Isabella still cradled in my arms, I somehow managed to push open the heavy glass door with my shoulder. Once inside, I gently set her down on the plush carpeting and gave an exaggerated bow, sweeping my arm dramatically toward the glittering display cases filled with precious gems.
"After you, my beautiful princess," I said with a playful grin, knowing exactly how she would react to the title. "Your crown jewels await your selection." I couldn't help but tease her a little; her reactions were always so adorably predictable.
Just as expected, she blushed an even deeper shade of red and lowered her gaze to the floor, her voice dropping to that low, sensual tone that never failed to send shivers down my spine.
"Please don't call me that, Nathan," she protested softly, fidgeting with the hem of her dress nervously. "I'm not a princess or anything special like that. I'm just... me."
