I looked at Kyle in the living room and then at Yuki, who quickly lowered her gaze to the ground.

I thought I would feel calmer while driving, but no, I didn't. I was still very upset over everything, even after the drive.

I swallowed hard and then stopped moving back and forth.

"Explain," I demanded.

"Dad, you see we...," 

She stopped talking when Kyle held her hand.

I felt like sitting between them or grabbing her hand and pulling her away from him, but ...
