Love? Did he just say love? No, I must have misheard him.

"Tanya, I said I love you," he repeated.

I frowned as my vision became blurred with unshed tears.

"If you are lying to me or...."

"Stop that," he whispered, cutting me off.

I wasn't strong enough to take such a joke. If he wasn't serious about his words, he was going to hurt me badly.

"I love you, I really do," he said, then smiled.
