Whitney's POV

"I accept defeat!" Leo screamed loudly.

He was breathing heavily on the ground with his arms raised in surrender.

I dropped my wooden sword and knelt beside him with a smile.

"You know we can't always rely on shifting. Hand-to-hand combat and using weapons should be something we get used to," I said.

"I know," he answered simply.

"Things have been so peaceful; do you think... hey!" I screamed when he grabbed my arm, pulling me to him.
