Viktor and I waited for Beta Jake and his sister, Jamie in a room I hadn’t been in before. After what happened with Clara we decided to talk to them and figure out how we should go about it.

My phone buzzed against my leg, and I reached into my pants pocket and looked at the screen. Seeing a number I didn’t recognize, I inhaled a deep breath before answering.

“Hello?”

Other than labored breathing there was silence on the other end.
