I was roused from sleep by the sound of birds chirping. I awoke to find Hector still holding me in his arms, just as when we went to sleep. Looking at the alarm clock on the nightstand, I noticed that it was 5:00 AM. Looking up, I saw Hector still asleep. The sound of his heart beating accompanied me as I lay my head on his chest and closed my eyes. A smile spread across my face as I recalled the first time I woke up in his arms.
