I woke up with a renewed sense of determination.

All hope wasn’t lost. It wasn’t over until the judge banged their gavel. Besides, at least we knew that Mary was still alive, and that was more than we knew before. There was still a chance that Cayden could win Tabitha’s case. The courtroom was so unpredictable and Cayden was the best lawyer I’d ever met, even if I might be a little biased.
