I found myself in a daze in Cayden’s office. He had beckoned me to sit down on the sofa and I did, my head still spinning from the drama that had occurred in the meeting room.

I looked at him and could not believe how calmly he was taking all this, nor was I able to fully digest the fact that he had known all of this from the very beginning.

“You seem on edge,” he said calmly but with concern, “Are you all right?”
