"Johnson, get up," the guard's voice was gruff, almost hoarse like when someone talks after a long period of being silent.

I wasn't necessarily jolted from sleep, it was difficult to fall into a deep sleep here. But, I was startled from the half-dream I was living in at the time. I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes, blinking hard against the harsh lights of the cell.
