I press harder on my bike,the sound of the roaring engine cuts through the air. Everything feels wrong, like a storm’s brewing in my bones.

The air is thick and heavy with something I can’t name, and it’s got my gut twisted tight.

Zero is riding on my left, his jaw clenched.

Shadow’s on my right, his usual cocky grin gone, replaced by a hard stare that says he is feeling it too,the danger lurking in the shadows.
