I keep pace beside Charlie as we head toward her house. It was... unsettling, meeting Eric Thomas. I hardly knew what to say to him. The man who built the lovely stone cottage was standing right in front of me, two and a half centuries before I first admired his work. I have so many questions for him. It would have been amazing to stay there and watch him build the well. I wish I'd had more time to talk to him.
