I glance at Nicholas, and he only shrugs, rolling his eyes in the most, "Just do it and get her off your back way." I let Vicky lead me to her friends. 

She makes hasty introductions, and I must say, the two lovely young women were pretty and kind----the kinds of friends I'd expect Vicky to have. 

" Are you done with my mate, ladies?" Nicholas is back by my side. He snakes an arm around me. The girls blush and squeal at his sight.
