Finding her

Heather:

“Miss Sparks?” He questioned, a satisfied smirk on his face.

“Zade, hey,’ I said, hating how my heart began to beat for him. The bastard was still as handsome as I had seen him the last time.

The memory of him slamming me against the wall and claiming my lips like a starved man rushed to the surface of my mind, making my current predicament worse.

Zade strolled towards me, his torso flexing as he did.

He was ripped. Each muscle on his abdomen tightened with every step he took, and I hated that I noticed.

A towel hung around his waist really low and I couldn't help but notice the V line that led to his goods.

"Are you looking for something in my locker?" He asked, voice thick with amusement.

I scoffed, turning away before my eyes betrayed me. "Don't flatter yourself. I was just checking to see if anyone was in here.”

He was close now, close enough that I could feel his heat.

I didn't like this.

“You know, I missed you throughout last week. Tried getting the coach to tell me your address, you can imagine he didn't,”

“If you had shown up at my house, I would have pepper-sprayed you.” I shot back

“Sure you wouldn't kiss me instead?”

“Oh God, you are so full of yourself. I'm leaving,” I snapped, turning to leave but before I could, Zade suddenly grabbed my arms, spinning me back.

“Oh, no you don't. You don't get to run away like last time.”

He said, slamming me gently against the locker.

“What are you doing? Let me go.” I glared.

“Not until you tell me why you're trying to deny our connection. Why are you running away?” he asked with furrowed brows. He looked genuinely confused.

“Connection? Please, you're overestimating the lust you feel for me. There's no connection,”

“Really? Because I can hear your heart beating. Admit it, your body is screaming for mine, let me have you.

My lips parted but no words came out. The way he was looking at me, I could feel my body. My wolf begged me to close the distance between us and kiss those luscious and beautiful lips. And for a second I moved on for a kiss but stopped and laughed in his face.

He stared at me looking even more puzzled.

“Is this what you tell the other girls to get into their pants, Zade Hunter?” I said in a flirty tone and smiled when he sucked in a breath.

“You think this is about sex?” He asked as if offended that I could even think that.

“What else could it be about?”

“It's not about sex,”

“Right, suddenly the Playboy wants to settle down with his PR. Oh, please.”

“Apart from the mate bond, I actually like you.”

I rolled my eyes.

“You don't believe me.”

“No and no girl in their right mind would. You are a player. Now, let me go before I kick you in the balls.”

“I'd rather you squeeze it mildly tight,” he said, going back to his flirty mode.

Disgusted, I pushed him. He didn't budge. However, what budged was the towel he was tying around his waist.

My eyes widened when I saw his wretched dick staring directly at me.

“Oh, my goodness,” I said and barreled my way out of there.

I heard him laughing and felt even more embarrassed.

Zade

I stared after Heather Sparks as she ran off, amused by her refusal to admit that she wanted me just as much as I wanted her.

I picked up my towel and wrapped it around my waist, wondering what I had done to deserve this treatment from my own mate

I had never had problems in the women's department.

Most women came to me and the ones that didn't were either all too eager to have me approach them or were the gayest ones you'd ever meet

I knew Heather felt the bond between us. What I didn't know was her reason for not liking it and wanting me. If the mate bond was anything like what it was for me with her, she would be going insane from not being near me.

I didn't get it. I didn't understand what was so bad about me that she couldn't stand the sight of me.

I had a bit of a haunch. She'd called me a player and while that wasn't a total lie, I had no intentions of playing her.

The rumors she'd probably heard about me were mostly lies. One fabricated by a particular woman that I didn't want to give attention to.

I ran my hands through my hair.

This was hard, I was hard. Thanks to Sparks' proximity to me earlier.

She had no idea what she was doing to me. Or maybe she did and just didn't care…

Nope, she definitely cared.

That kiss last week was proof enough that she cared or at least felt the intense tension between us.

I had thought about that kiss all week, including the slap at the end. I hadn't been able to take her out of my mind.

I went as far as asking the coach about her. He'd been adamant about my staying away from her.

That wasn't going to happen. Not when my wolf and I couldn't stop thinking about her.

I sighed, touching my lips and groaning. I'll get her soon. She just needed a little convincing.

I quickly put on my clothes and made my way out of the locker room.

Sparks was nowhere to be found which meant she was probably gone.

Fuck!

I needed to find her but first I had a meeting with my father I couldn't miss.

I took out my phone from my pocket just then when it vibrated and opened the incoming message.

It was my father.

Dad: Change of plans. The meeting has been postponed to tomorrow.

I smiled

Well, then, it seemed the goddess Selene was on my side after all.

I waved at the Coach who was talking to a couple of men I wasn't familiar with.

I got to my place and thankfully, my roommate and cousin, Anna, was home.

“Hey, what are you doing here so early?” She asked, turning the music blasting through the speakers.

“Anna, I need your help.”

“100 bucks.” She said,

“You don't even know what I want your help for!”

“Doesn't matter. It's 100 bucks.”

I sighed. She was so greedy sometimes, I found it absolutely hilarious.

“Fine. I need your help finding someone.”

“Who?”

She asked, staring up at me. Her oversized t-shirt made her look even shorter and rounder than she was.

“Heather Sparks.”

“Did she steal from you ?” She asked.

“What? No. I just want to find her.”

“Why?”

“I don't have to give you an answer.” I glared.

“You will if you want my help. I am the only one who can help you.”

She was right. She was the perfect example of a dorms or whatever she called it. She had access to every student’s dorm room. Well, not legal access that was for sure.

“She is our new PR agent.”

“A student, your new PR agent? That's odd.”

Actually, now that she mentioned it, it was a little odd but I didn't care about that for now.

“It is but just help me find her dorm room and classes. I'll triple the amount if you do.”

“Damn, did she take your kidney?”

“Something like that,”

I shrugged, trying not to give anything away.

Anna's eyes narrowed.

“Is this a sex thing?”

“Anna. Just do as I say,” I warned

“Fine. Payment before service.” She stretched out her hands and I sighed and handed her two hundred-dollar bills.

“Thanks cuz. I can get that bag now.” she smiled to herself

I rolled my eyes.

“When should I expect my information?”

“Latest tomorrow.” She smiled.

I nodded and made my way to my bedroom.

It wasn't long before I slept off and that was after my failed attempt at trying to find her on social media.
