I stand on the sidewalk. Frozen.

Through the bakery window, they're still smiling. Still together.

The image overlaps with another. Allen's bedroom. His body moving over Daisy's. Her blonde hair spread across the pillow. Their laughter.

'Not again. Not this.'

My chest cracks open. The same pain. The exact same fucking pain.

Inside the bakery, Alexander's head turns. His eyes meet mine through the glass.
