Jace looked away from me to stare out the window.

He has never been mad at me. It's new and it feels weird. It feels like when my favorite parent is disappointed in me.

Jace was always fun and bubbly and he was always on my side. I hope he didn't think that maybe supporting me and agreeing to take me along was a mistake.
