Mia's POV:

William walked out of the cafe. I sat there, still trying to recover from the shock of everything that he'd just said.

“He's an Alpha,” I repeated. “William was an Alpha.”

Maybe if I kept saying it, it would sink in. I never expected him to become an alpha. I'd never imagined it.

William had not come off as the kind of guy who wanted a leadership position. He fits more like a counselor than even me. Maybe he would have been a Beta but an Alpha? It was crazy.
