“WHAT DO YOU MEAN GONE?!” Jaxon barked, unable to control his anger.

Melanie was startled, taking a step back. “I mean she left. When I got home yesterday, she wasn't back and there was a note by my bed,” she said, bringing out the note from her pocket. She handed it over to Jaxon who read it and passed it to his brothers.
