“I wonder why,” Genevieve said, dryly.

William lifted his eyes to look at her. “Sometimes, you make a terrible companion.” He said.

“You don't like honesty sprinkled with sarcasm,” Genevieve said, finally digging into her food. “You didn't poison this, did you?”
