I stopped at the hardware store, letting Melanie off. I would pick her up on the drive back. I drove back to the grocery store and grabbed a small basket.

I immediately headed for the milk, grabbing a large keg. After that, I got the gummy bears, a few more chocolates, and the chips. As I passed by the pickles, I realized that I hadn't gotten some. These were Melanie's favorites. But I didn't know what brand she liked.
