Chapter 6

Evan's face darkened instantly, his hands clenched tightly and his jaw tightened as he listened to the man's explanation. He could already guess what had happened."Okay, Dr. Rico, have you prepared the medicine? Just give him the best vitamins and treatment so he can get well soon," Evan said coldly.

"And most importantly, give her fertility vitamins so she can get pregnant quickly!"

Rossie slowly looked up and glared at Evan, shuddering when she heard her husband's last words. Her beautiful face immediately became complicated and embarrassed.

"After that, you can leave this room and go home immediately."

Dr. Rico gave a small nod to indicate that he was ready and would do everything he was supposed to do.

He gave Rossie an effective injection so she would no longer feel nauseous. The doctor tried to use all his medical skills.

He strongly suspected that the beautiful girl he was treating was a woman who was precious to the young master, Evander.

After the middle-aged man left the room, Evan looked at his wife's face, which was still a little pale, but now looked fresher than before.

KNOCK KNOCK

"Come in," Evan replied flatly.

A young female servant entered carrying a tray with a bowl of hot porridge and chamomile herbal tea.

"Mr. Evan, I brought this, as you requested."

"Yes, just put it near her," replied Evan, pointing to Rossie, who was lying limply on the bed.

"Yes, sir."

"Wait..."

"Did Mrs. Shania know you were bringing the porridge here?"

"No, sir, I didn't run into Mrs. Shania anywhere," replied Eva, the maid, shaking her head firmly.

"Good, good work."

"You stay here and keep my wife company while she eats. You have to make sure she finishes everything on her plate."

"And she must take the medicine and vitamins the doctor prepared earlier!"

"Yes, sir, I will," replied Eva with a smile.

Evan then left the room, leaving Rossie and her maid alone.

Evan quickly walked to the rooftop, the top floor of his house.

Meanwhile, in the large and magnificent room, Rossie was chatting casually with Eva.

"Miss, please eat the porridge first, before it gets cold and tastes bad," said Eva as she handed a bowl of warm porridge to her employer's second wife.

"Ehhmm... but I don't feel like eating... and don't call me 'miss', just call me Rossie," replied Rossie.

Tears welled up in Rossie's eyes, a sign that she was holding back her tears.

"But miss... um, if you refuse, Mr. Evan will scold me. Please help me so I can finish my work quickly," Eva pleaded.

"My stomach really doesn't feel well, I just want to rest and go to sleep," Rossie shook her head impatiently.

"Yes, after you finish this porridge and take all your medicine, then you can sleep soundly," Eva urged, sighing deeply.

Rossie saw the sincerity in Eva's heart and felt guilty for not wanting to eat. Rossie was worried that Eva would get a stern reprimand from Evan, knowing what her husband was like.

"Alright, I'll eat now... you can leave, you don't need to wait for me here," Rossie said softly.

"I won't leave you until I'm sure my task is completed perfectly according to Mr. Evan's instructions," Eva chuckled, smiling broadly.

Although Rossie initially had no appetite for the meal Eva had brought, after a few spoonfuls, she realized she was indeed very hungry. As a result, she finished the entire bowl of porridge.

"Well...that's great, miss, the meal is finished and I'll go back to the kitchen now, excuse me," said Eva, nodding respectfully.

"Yes, Eva, thank you for taking such good care of me," nodded Rossie with a wry smile.

After making sure Eva had left the large room, Rossie pulled in a deep breath and exhaled slowly while holding her stomach, which still felt sore.

"Huff... ah, it seems I survived Evan's 'attack' tonight, but who knows about the next few nights."

Rossie looked around the spacious room she was now occupying. She hadn't had time to look around when she first entered.
