Our visit to Terrence’s parents went surprisingly well. Honestly, far better than anything I had imagined. I didn’t expect them to be that easy to be with. The conversation flowed effortlessly, the atmosphere was light, and I never once felt like an “outsider” in their home.

They were kind, genuinely warm. I still wasn’t sure if that was simply how they naturally were or if it was because I arrived with Terrence… but either way, it made everything feel strangely comforting.
