The rest of the evening after I found my way back to the dining after my short, miserable break in the bathroom passed unnoticed as I had returned to the dining with my heart lodged somewhere between my mouth and my throat.

The smile forced on my face was stiff and it felt borrowed but there was nothing I could do than act like I had no idea about.
